2 IV 2015 (!) / AIC Sports Grivegnée - FC Fontinois 1-1 / Liège, Provincial League 4C (= BE Div. 8)

Note 1: long overdue, this photo series from April 2015. I did not publish it back then because of a technical defect in my camera, which absolutely ruined my evening at this lovely ground and almost all photos. Using some technical tricks I did not know of yet last year, I have now managed to slightly polish the photos and to perhaps make them, if not of brilliant, then at least of acceptable quality - acceptable to me, that is!

Note 2: in retrospect, the match I attended was somewhat exotic, given that today - less than a year after the game was played - neither of the two clubs still exists. FC Fontinois withdrew from Belgian FA's ranks after the 2014-2015 season, whilst AIC Sports Grivegnée and its owner (as well as captain of the squad!) Francy Makembo were forced out of the Nicolas Spiroux ground by local authorities in favour of a new club, FC Grivegnée. AIC Sports Grivegnée started the 2015-2016 season playing on the B pitch of the Stade Joseph Vanstraelen in Montegnée (pictures: click here), but, having left its spiritual home in Grivegnée, failed to survive for more than a couple of months, ceasing all activities in the fall of 2015.
