Note: JS Borina Quaregnon - a name consciously chosen to recall the days of former football clubs in Quaregnon - was born in 2012 as a merger of two clubs of the Royal Groupement Corporatif Centre-Mons-Borinage (RGCCMB) league: Juventus Bridgestone and Jeunesse Turque Ataspor (JTA); the new club, however, made headlines for all the wrong reasons as players and 'supporters' regularly misbehaved. As a result, owner Philippe Lescot gave up on the project in 2015, allowing his club to be absorbed by AEDEC Hyon, which became AEDEC Hyon-Quaregnon; first team football was played in Hyon only. In 2016, a new club was founded in Quaregnon, Athlétic Club Quaregnon; that same year, AEDEC Hyon-Quaregnon dropped the last part of its name.
