Note: vv De Zwaluwen, formed in 1923, took on the new name of vv De Vogels one year later. After a true odyssey, taking the club from one ground in Groningen to the other, De Vogels finally settled down in the town's Stadspark in October 1974. Forty years on, in 2014, Sportclub Stadspark were formed, a merger of vv De Vogels with SC Gronitas, a club located at a nearby pitch at Corpus den Hoorn. At that point, Gronitas had little choice, as their facilities were taken over by FC Groningen for their new youth and training centre.
