Stade Jean Rousseau, Brussels Bon Air = Goede Lucht (Olympic Anderlecht, formerly Bon Air Sport, Agrupacion Oviedo-Asturiana & SC Bon Air)

Belgium, Brussels Capital Area

16 II 2019 / Trinacria AC - FC Wappers 2-0 / ABSSA Div. 4C

Note: Bon Air Sport played at this ground, named after former club president Jean (Jan) Rousseau in the 1980s, from the foundation of the club in 1966 onwards; it was not until 1983, however, that the decision was taken to make the leap from amateur football to the regular provincial leagues. Between 2006 and 2012, Bon Air Sport played three seasons in Brabant's Provincial League 1 before plunging to the lowest levels of provincial football in subsequent years. In 2004, Bon Air Sport were joined by a rivalling club, SC Bon Air, which, however, ceased activities after only one season. Several other clubs also had their home at Stade Jean Rousseau for a shorter or longer time, including Agrupacion Oviedo-Asturiana before this club of ethnic Spaniards were absorbed into FC Moreda Uccle in 2013. Finally, in 2019, Bon Air Sport adopted a new name: Olympic Anderlecht.

Note 2: Apart from Bon Air Sport, several ABSSA teams play their football at Stade Jean Rousseau, amongst which Trinacria AC. ABSSA (Association Belge du Sport de Samedi) is a league of amateur teams in Brussels and immediate surroundings, not affiliated to the Royal Belgian Football Assocation. Under the auspices of the ABSSA, hundreds of teams play their football in a six-division league system.

Note 3: the last two photographs (nos. 22-23) in this series were taken on a non-matchday visit in December 2018.
