BELGIUM: SK Leeuw (1991-2020) / Leeuw Brucom (2020-)

Belgium, province: Flemish Brabant

29 V 2014 / SK Leeuw - SK Kampelaar 0-0 / Brabant, Provincial League 3 - promotion play-off (= Div. 7)

Note 1: as a result of the draw in the match I attended, SK Leeuw won promotion to Provincial League 2 (= BE level 6)

Note 2: SK Leeuw saw the daylight in 1991 (matricule 9246). In 2020, SK Leeuw merged with KV Brucom Sport to become Leeuw Brucom. Since, first team football has taken place at the former SK Leeuw's Lotstraat, while Brucom's ground at Pijnbroekstraat has remained in use for lower team football and training purposes.

BELGIUM: Eendracht Liedekerke (1945-1949) / KFC Liedekerke (1950-1999) / SK Lombeek-Liedekerke (1999-2005) / VK Liedekerke (2005-)

Heuvelkouter, Liedekerke (VK Liedekerke, formerly Eendracht Liedekerke / KFC Liedekerke / SK Lombeek-Liedekerke)

Belgium, province: Flemish Brabant

29 V 2014 / VK Liedekerke - Sporting Bruxelles 7-1 / Brabant, Provincial League 2 - promotion play-off (= BE level 6)

Note 1: As a result of the win in the match I attended, VK Liedekerke won promotion to Provincial League 1 (= BE level 5).

Note 2: FC Liedekerke (matricule 4202) saw the daylight in 1950 as the successor club of Eendracht Liedekerke, a short-lived first football club in Liedekerke, which had held out for four seasons only before folding in 1949. In 1999, KFC Liedekerke merged with SC Lombeek from nearby Sint-Katherina-Lombeek, forming SK Lombeek-Liedekerke (retaining Lombeek's matricule). First team football was played in Liedekerke, whilst the premises at Heidestraat in Sint-Katherina-Lombeek remained in use for training purposes. In 2005, the merger was disentangled, as Lombeek withdrew to return to their own ground. In Liedekerke, a new club was formed, VK Liedekerke, which was admitted to the Belgian Football Association under matricule 9467.

BELGIUM: RFC Luingnois

Henri Gadenne, Luingne (Mouscron) = Lowingen (Moeskroen) (RFC Luingnois)

Belgium, province: Hainaut = Henegouwen

25 V 2014 / FC Luingnois - Dottignies Sports 2-1 / West Flanders, Provincial League 3C - promotion play-off final - second leg (= Div. 7)

Note 1: though, due to a gradual shift of the language border, the originally Flemish villages of Dottenijs (Dottignies) and Lowingen (Luingne) were transferred from the province of West Flanders to Hainaut in Wallonia in 1963, Dottignies Sports and FC Luingnois have chosen to continue playing their games in West Flanders' provincial leagues. Hence the absurd situation of having a promotion play-off final in West Flanders with two teams from outside the province.

Note 2: after the away leg had finished 0-0, Luingnois opened the score in the home game in the second half; in the last minute of regular time, Dottignies equalized, meaning they would go up on away goals. Luingnois, however, scored the 2-1 with the last kick of the game, handing them a memorable derby victory as well as promotion to Provincial League 2.
