Note: Since their foundation in 2013 on the ashes of FC Bleid and FC Bleid-Molenbeek, BX Brussels led a wandering existence, with first team football taking place at Complexe Hunderenveld (August-October 2013), Stade Communal de Jette (2013-14, 2015-21), and Complexe Sportif du Bempt (2014-15). In 2018, the Anderlecht town council allowed the club to house its youth academy at Complexe La Roue, thus commencing a groundshare with United Africa FC Bruxelles (matricule 9634, founded in 2014). The pre-2014 history of this ground is shrouded in darkness. It is situated at Rue Pierre Schlosser in a neighbourhood known as La Roue (or in Dutch: Het Rad) - also the name of the ground. In 2021, the decision was taken upon to also move the club's first team to Complexe La Roue. This notwithstanding, BX continue to make use of Complexe Sportif Bempt for lower team football and training purposes.

NETHERLANDS: vv SVI

Sportpark De Siggels, Zwolle Ittersum (vv SVI)

Note: vv SVI (Sportvereniging Ittersum) are the football club of Ittersum, a hamlet on Zwolle's southern outskirts which was absorbed by the city in the 1960s. Founded in 1952, the club successively played at four different grounds (Zandhove 1952-56, Deventerweg 1956-59, IJsseldijk 1959-63, Van Houtenlaan 1963-74) before settling down at Sportpark De Siggels in 1974. The main pitch was adorned with an open terrace in 2004 (cp. photos 13-15 below). When the club wanted to install floodlights around this main pitch, local residents objected and initiated legal proceedings, which resulted in a court forbidding the club to implement their plans. Instead, the main pitch was moved to the other side of the drawing rooms. All of this must have occurred around 2012. In the summer of 2018, a 3G was installed on the new main pitch.

Note: vv IJC (IJsselcentrale), founded in 1937, were the football team of Zwolle's electricity factory, NV Electriciteitsfabriek IJsselcentrale. When the mill changed its name to NV Energiebedrijf IJsselmij, vv IJC consequently became vv IJsselmij - and after the merger of NV Energiebedrijf IJsselmij with EGD to become EDON (Energiedistributiebedrijf Oost- en Noord-Nederland) in 1993, the club followed suit again. Although Energiedistributie Oost- en Noord-Nederland were absorbed into Essent in 1999, the football club did not change names for a third time. vv EDON and their predecessors have played at the ground at Weteringkade from the foundation in 1937 onwards. EDON last took part in regular non-league in 2015-16, but the club are still fielding teams in the reserves' leagues. Visiting the ground with its wooden clubhouse and drawing rooms, and its square goal posts, feels like entering a time warp to a different - and if you ask me: better - age of football.
