NETHERLANDS: TSV LONGA (1920-2017) / FC Tilburg (2017-)

Sportpark Spoordijk, Tilburg (FC Tilburg, formerly TSV LONGA = Lichaamsontwikkeling Na Geestelijke Arbeid)

Netherlands, province: North Brabant

21 IX 2008 / TSV LONGA - DESK 1-2 / Zondag Hoofdklasse B (= NL level 3)
3 VI 2017 / TSV LONGA - RKVV Erp 0-0 / District South I, Sunday Leagues 2 & 3 - promotion-relegation play-off final, first leg (= NL levels 7 & 8)

Note 1: TSV LONGA was a professional league side between 1954 and 1965, though these years were by no means the most successful era of the club. The wooden main stand, named after Henk Pellikaan (who played for LONGA between 1928 and 1947 and moreover won thirteen caps for the Netherlands), dates back to 1932. In 2017, LONGA merged with TSV NOAD (another former professional league club) and RKTVV to form Fusie Club Tilburg. The new club plays its football at Sportpark Spoordijk, whilst the ground of TSV NOAD was knocked down and the premises of RKTVV were taken over by Willem II's youth academy.

Note 2: combination of three photo series: photos 1-7 - non-matchday visit, May 2010 / photos 8-9: matchday visit, September 2008 / photos 10-18: matchday visit, June 2017. By my visit in 2017, sadly, all concrete terracing turned out to have been removed.
