BELGIUM: KFC Witgoor Sport Dessel (1936-2019)

Jef Luytenstadion, Dessel Witgoor (KFC Witgoor Sport Dessel)

Belgium, province: Antwerp

19 IX 2010 / FC Witgoor Sport Dessel - K Lutlommel VV 2-0 / League 4C (= BE level 4)
19 VIII 2017 / FC Witgoor Sport Dessel - Sporting Burcht FC 5-1 / Antwerp, Provincial Cup - group stage, group 1

Note 1: Witgoor Sport moved to this ground (which was later re-named after local bike shop owner and club sponsor Jef Luyten) two or three years after the club had been founded in 1933. In 2019, Witgoor left their cherished home soil; quite heavily in debt due to irresponsible spending by former club officials, Witgoor Sport's board have taken the decision to sell the Jef Luyten Stadium to a real estate developer, enabling the club to pay off their creditors - and, using the revenues, to build a new stadium on their training ground.

Note 2: the series below is a combination of photos taken during two different match visits: pictures no. 1-3, 5, 7-9, 11-14, 16-22 & 25-31 = August 2017; no. 4, 6, 10, 15 & 24 = September 2010.
