Timeline
  • 1921 / Foundation of Cercle Sportif (CS) Longwy. This football club played at the ground commonly referred to as 'Porte de Bourgogne' from the outset.
  • 1936 / CS Longwy changes its name to become Union Sportive du Basin (USB) Longwy, often abbreviated to US Longwy. That same year, the club is admitted to the professional leagues.
  • 1937 / Promotion to the second tier of French football, the so-called Division InterrĂ©gionale. The club maintains itself at this level until the outbreak of World War II. After the war, USB Longwy returns to the amateur ranks.
  • 1953 / Inauguration of the completely rebuilt ground at Porte de Bourgogne, with a new stand and terracing - and an athletics track added to the set-up. The ground is renamed Stade Municipal de Longwy-Haut.
  • 1967 / USB Longwy wins its major post-war prize, the league title in the Division d'Honneur de Lorraine.
  • 2019 / After 98 years, USB Longwy abandons its ground in favour of the new synthetic pitch at the club's youth academy at Rue de Lorraine.
