Note 1: K Sporting Club Lokeren saw the daylight in 1970 as a result of a merger between two local lower league clubs, Standaard FC Lokeren and K Racing Club Lokeren. On the occasion of the merger, the Lokeren town council offered the new club to play in their Stedelijk Stadion, which had hitherto served as a venue for athletics and dog races; later, the ground, which saw major improvements over the years, was renamed Daknamstadion - named after the hamlet just north of Lokeren proper where the ground is located. From the mid-1970s, the new club was a household name in Belgium's highest football league, only interrupted by a short spell in Tweede Klasse (League Div. 2) in the 1990s. In 2000, KSC Lokeren merged with K Sint-Niklase SK Excelsior to become K Sporting Lokeren Sint-Niklaas Waasland, renamed KSC Lokeren Oost-Vlaanderen three years later. In April 2020, KSC Lokeren Oost-Vlaanderen went into administration, ceasing all activities. Thereupon, a 'merger' was concluded with KSV Temse to become KSC Lokeren-Temse. First team football will be played in Lokeren, whilst the youth academy will settle down at Temse's Fernand Schuermanstadion.

Note 2: In the 2020-2021 season, Club Brugge KV's U23 side, which were suddenly introduced into the football pyramid in Division 1B to fill up the numbers, played their football at the Daknamstadion. The experiment was discontinued after one year - and FC Bruges left the stadium in Lokeren as a result.
