NETHERLANDS: TEVV (1934-2016) / vv De Hunze (1954-1974) / vv De Treffer '16 (2016-)

Sportpark De Treffer, Tweede Exloërmond (vv De Treffer '16, formerly TEVV = Tweede Exloërmondse Voetbalvereniging, & vv De Hunze)

Netherlands, province: Drenthe

11 XI 2018 / vv De Treffer '16 - vv Pekelder Boys 2-0 / District North, Sunday League 5E (= NL level 10)

Note 1: for a time, Tweede Exloërmond boasted two football clubs: Sunday leaguers TEVV, and Saturday team vv De Hunze; in 1974, De Hunze were absorbed by TEVV. In 2016, after TEVV's first and only-ever season in Sunday League 1 - at that time the fifth tier of Dutch football -, the club folded. Though TEVV were not officially wound up until the early months of 2018, a successor club saw the daylight practically immediately, in the summer of 2016. To break with the past, a new name was chosen: vv De Treffer '16, and the yellow-and-blue colours of TEVV were replaced by blue-and-black. As a new club, vv De Treffer '16 had to start at the bottom of the league pyramid, in Sunday League 5. Due to a conflict with the former TEVV's board and the Borger-Odoorn town council, so far, vv De Treffer '16 have not been allowed to use TEVV's club house and changing rooms, instead having to make do with the facilities of the nearby indoor hall.
