Netherlands, province: North Brabant = Noord-Brabant

12 V 2024 / vv Elsendorp - SVEB 3-2 / District South II, Sunday League 5D (= NL level 10)

Timeline
  • 1946 / Foundation of a first football club in Elsendorp, of which the exact name has not been preserved (probably vv Elsendorp or RKVV Elsendorp), with home matches being played on a pasture at the back of CafĂ© Toontje Buets. Initially, the club plays only friendly matches, with league football being endeavoured somewhat later.
  • 1950 / The first football club in Elsendorp folds, ceasing all activities due to a lack of membership.
  • 1963 / Foundation of a new club in Elsendorp, Voetbalvereniging (vv) Elsendorp, which settles at Terrein Toontje Buets, the pitch previously used by the club which folded in 1950. After a short while, vv Elsendorp moves on to a new ground, Terrein Sevenster at Elsendorpseweg (near the Cleefswit forests), which was an improvement compared to the old pitch given that the surface consisted of grass rather than sand.
  • ± 1966 / Abandoning Terrein Sevenster, vv Elsendorp moves on to Terrein Haverkort, another pasture situated at Elsendorpseweg.
  • ± 1970 / Abandoning Terrein Haverkort, vv Elsendorp settles at Terrein Limbraweg, a pasture put at the club’s disposal by the Roman Catholic church.
  • 1980 / Abandoning Terrein Limbraweg, vv Elsendorp settles at Sportpark De Dompt, situated in the village proper.
  • 1996 / Never having managed to climb up to Sunday League 4 from the ranks of the Noord-Brabantse Voetbalbond (NBVB) in the first 33 years of the club’s existence, vv Elsendorp is now played in District South I’s Sunday League 6I as the district leagues below Sunday League 4 are abolished and incorporated into the regular KNVB leagues.
  • 2000 / Finishing runners-up in District South I’s Sunday League 6I, just 1 point behind vv Nederwetten, vv Elsendorp goes on to win the promotion play-offs, thus acceding to Sunday League 5. The stay at this level does not last longer than one year, though, with relegation following instantly in 2001.
  • 2004 / Finishing runners-up in District South II’s Sunday League 6G, 4 points behind SCMH, vv Elsendorp fails to win promotion in the play-offs.
  • 2011 / Champions in District South II’s Sunday League 6E, 4 points ahead of RKVV HRC ’27, vv Elsendorp accedes to Sunday League 5 for the first time in eleven years.
  • 2012 / Finishing in tenth place in District South II’s Sunday League 5F, vv Elsendorp drops back into League 6 after just one year after an unsuccessful set of play-offs, accompanying the clubs directly descending into that division, SV ONDO and vv Koningslust.
  • 2013 / Runners-up in District South II’s Sunday League 6D, 5 points behind champions vv EWC ’46, vv Elsendorp wins promotion to Sunday League 5 after a successful set of play-off matches. Yet again, the stay at this level lasts for one season only, with relegation following immediately due to a last-place finish in District South II’s Sunday League 5G.
  • 2015 / Finishing in fifth place in District South II’s Sunday League 6D, vv Elsendorp wins promotion to League 5 via the play-offs – having stayed at that level until the present day following the abolition of Sunday League 6 in District South II in 2016.
  • 2024 / vv Elsendorp concludes a merger is concluded with neighbour club RKVV Fiducia from De Rips, resulting in the foundation of SV De Middenpeel; for the time being, home games will alternately be played in Elsendorp and De Rips.
