18 V 2014 / VC Jong Lede - KSK De Jeugd Lovendegem 1-0 / East Flanders, Provincial League 1 - promotion play-off final - first leg (= BE level 5)

Note - SK Lede, which never joined the official Belgian FA< was the first football club in Lede, founded in 1934 and folding in 1940; the club's ground was situated at Smesweg. VC Jong Lede, founded in 1943 (registration number 3957), initially played its football at Terrein De Vijver (Lange Weestraat), switching to Terrein Openveldstraat in c. 1950. Following a run in the national divisions, the club landed in financial trouble in the early 1990s, leading to one season of inactivity (1992-93). In 1993, activities were resumed, but not at Openveldstraat, which was redeveloped for housing, but at Gemeentelijk Sportcomplex De Ommegang. KVC Jong Lede - the royal epithet having been added in 1994 - moved its first team football to Aalst's Stedelijk Sportstadion Pierre Cornelis in the summer of 2024, retaining Complex De Ommegang for lower team football and training sessions.
