Note: In 1964, recreational football club FC Bondgalm saw the daylight - founded by Omer Van der Voorden, Freddy Van Couwenberghe, Eduard Smet, and Rudy Permentier, four regular guests in Café 'Den Bond' in Hamme; and as the local dialect word for a guest in a café was 'galm', the chosen club name was FC Bondgalm. Settling down at a small ground at Noordstraat, FC Bondgalm played their football in various local recreational leagues before making the leap to Walivo (Waas Liefhebbersvoetbal), the league of which it has been a member until today, in 1975. That same year, Bondgalm's ground had to make way for the new N41, linking Dendermonde to Sint-Niklaas, compelling the club to look for a new home - which was eventually found at Driegotenkouter; the inaugural match at the new ground, due to a reorganisation of the local road system located at Jules De Brouwerpark nowadays, took place in December 1976. FC Bondgalm had their heyday in the 1970s and 1980s, winning a string of league titles with their Saturday and Sunday teams. In 2001, after some less successful seasons, the decision was taken upon to merge with local rivals FC Bos, another recreational team, forming FC Bondgalm Bos. All activities moved to FC Bondgalm's ground, renamed 'Permentier-Arena' around 2010 in honour of founding father and club icon Rudy Permentier. In 2021, for the first time in 48 years, no Saturday team could be brought together, leaving FC Bondgalm Bos with just their Sunday league squad.
