Gemeentelijk Stadion - Kastanjelaan, Zulte (SV Zulte Waregem - C ground, formerly SK Zulte / Zultse VV / Jong Zulte / B ground of SV Zulte Waregem)

Belgium, province: East Flanders

13 II 2017 / SV Zulte Waregem Reserves - KV Oostende Reserves 3-0 / Reserves' League 1A, Group II

Note 1: originally the ground of SK Zulte and its successor Zultse VV, the premises at Kastanjelaan automatically fell into the hands of SV Zulte-Waregem (SVZW) in 2001 - this club being a merger of the near-bankrupt SV Waregem and the aforementioned Zultse VV. First team football moved to Waregem's Regenboogstadion, but the ground in Zulte remained in use for lower team football and training purposes. After the foundation of SV Zulte-Waregem, a new club saw the daylight in Zulte itself, Jong Zulte, which was allowed to play at Kastanjelaan in exchange for an annual rent due to SVZW. In 2021, however, exasperated by the growing financial demands on the part of Zulte-Waregem, Jong Zulte decided to move away their first team football to their own youth academy at Domein Waalmeers. Meanwhile, SV Zulte Waregem have chosen to move their reserves' games away from Zulte, preferring Petegem-aan-de-Leie's ground instead; the stadium at Kastanjelaan still remains in use for lower team football - including Zulte-Waregem's ladies team.
