NETHERLANDS: SV Kampong

Sportpark Maarschalkerweerd, Utrecht (SV Kampong)

Netherlands, province: Utrecht

29 V 2022 / SV Kampong - SV Hoofddorp 3-1 / Sunday League 1A (= NL level 6)

Note: Sportvereniging (SV) Kampong, founded in 1902, played its football at Sportpark Welgelegen until 1936, when the club moved to its current ground. Apart from football, SV Kampong also has branches for field hockey, cricket, squash, tennis, and even bowls. The hockey branch of SV Kampong is among the most successful clubs in that sport in the Netherlands. The current lay-out of the park - with the main football pitch on one side of the clubhouse and the considerably larger hockey stadium (cp. pictures 17-19 below) on the other - dates back to 2017.

BELGIUM: RCS Bollandois

Site de Noblehaye, Bolland (RCS Bollandois)

Belgium, province: Liège = Luik

26 V 2022 / RCS Bollandois - FC Chevron 0-0 - Bolland won penalty shoot-out (5-4) / Liège, Provincial League 4 - promotion play-off final (= BE level 9)

Note 1: In the promotion play-off final between RCS Bollandois (Provincial League 4G) and FC Chevron (Provincial League 4H), a single match had to bring the decision. After ninety goalless minutes, a penalty shoot-out had to bring the decision. After 14 spot kicks, home side Bolland could finally celebrate their return to Provincial League 3 after 18 consecutive years in "P4".

Note 2: Club Sportif (CS) Bollandois, founded in 1968, acquired membership of the Belgian Football Association in 1970, obtaining matricule 7500. For the first fourteen years of its existence, the club played at a ground situated near the Chapelle Notre-Dame des Vertus, until the move was made to the current ground in October 1982. In November 2021, the club became a Société Royale, changing its name to Royal Club Sportif (RCS) Bollandois.

BELGIUM: RFC Soumagne

Stade Jean Collette, Soumagne Soumagne-Bas (RFC Soumagne)

Belgium, province: Liège = Luik

22 V 2022 / RFC Soumagne - R Baelen FC 1-2 / Liège, Provincial League 3 - relegation play-off final (= BE level 8)

Note 1: My match visit at Stade Jean Collette was a play-off final between two teams who had just avoided direct relegation into Provincial League 4, for one last ticket in Provincial League 3. Due to the result, RFC Soumagne were relegated to the lowest division of Liège's provincial league system, whilst R Baelen FC just saved their skin in "P3".

Note 2: Football Club (FC) Soumagne has been home at Rue Ladrie from the club's foundation in 1969 (matricule 7332) onwards; when one of the founding members, Jean Collette, passed away in 1977, the ground was named after him. In 2019, upon the club's fiftieth anniversary, the royal epithet was acquired, as a result of which FC Soumagne became RFC Soumagne.
