BELGIUM: RFC Turkania Faymonville (1930-2022) / AS Faymonville (2013-2014) / R Turkania Wallonia Waimes Faymonville (2022-)

Rue de Robrou, Faymonville = Aussenborn (R Turkania Wallonia Waimes Faymonville, formerly RFC Turkania Faymonville)

Belgium, province: Liège-Luik

30 III 2011 / RFC Turkania Faymonville - RFC Union La Calamine 4-0 / Vierde Klasse D (= BE level 4)

Note: Football Club Turkania Faymonville, founded in 1930 (matricule 1798) and first taking part in Liège's provincial leagues from the summer of 1931 onwards, acquired the royal epithet in 1952. The club had its heyday in the early 2000s with eight consecutive seasons of national league football at the fourth and lowest level of the national football pyramid (2006-14). In 2014, a merger (without name change) was concluded with the short-lived AS (Association Sportive) Faymonville (matricule 9602, 2013-14), who, for one season only, played with a Provincial League 4 side on one of Rue de Robrou's side pitches. Eight years later, a second merger followed, this time between RFC Turkania Faymonville and RFC Wallonia Waimes, resulting in the foundation of R Turkania Wallonia (TW) Waimes Faymonville. First team football is played at Rue de Robrou, Faymonville, while the new club's youth academy is subdivided between Waimes' Rue Coirville and Faymonville's ground.

NETHERLANDS: Fortuna Vlaardingen (1951-1974, 1981-2003) / FC Vlaardingen '74 (1974-1981)

Floreslaan, Vlaardingen (formerly Fortuna Vlaardingen)

NETHERLANDS: vv CION (1990-2014)

Fortunapad "Ciondroom", Vlaardingen (formerly vv CION = Chevron Is Onze Naam)

Netherlands, province: South Holland

March 2011 / no match visited

Note: Founded in 1951, vv CION were originally called The Red Stars, named after the red star in the logo of Caltex, the oil factory of which The Red Stars were the sports club. In 1970, following Caltex's absorption into Chevron, the club changed their name to become vv CION. In the mid-1960s, The Red Stars' ground was situated at Samuel Esmeijerstraat, but in 1990, the move was made to a new ground in the vicinity of Fortuna Vlaardingen's old stadium; CION's new home at Fortunapad/Marathonweg was often referred to in jest as Ciondroom. Their stay here lasted for 24 years; forced by Vlaardingen's town council, who cherished plans to turn the premises into a business location, vv CION left the ground in 2014, groundsharing with SV Deltasport at Sportpark Broekpolder Oost for the following five years. From 2019 onwards, vv CION have had their own clubhouse and main pitch at Sportpark Broekpolder.

NETHERLANDS: vv DEMOS (1957-2004) / vv GSS (1957-1995) / vv DRGS (1995-2008) / vv Hargasport (2004-2015)

Harga Oost, Schiedam (formerly vv DEMOS / vv GSS / vv DRGS / vv Hargasport)

Netherlands, province: South Holland

March 2011 & November 2017 / no match visited

Note 1: In 2004, one of the original inhabitants of Harga Oost - DEMOS (De Eendracht Maakt Ons Sterker) - merged with vv GTB (Geen Tegenstander Beter) and Schiedamse Boys to form vv Hargasport in 2004. Until 2008, Hargasport shared its ground with vv DRGS (De Roode Zon - Goede Sport Staalt Schiedam), a club which eventually (c2008) left for Thurlede, using the ground of the former vv Martinit; DRGS eventually ceased all activities in 2013. After several irregularities on and off the pitch which marred the last years of Hargasport's existence, this club's teams were banned from taking part in any competition in November 2014; two months later, being unable to meet the costs due to the Schiedam community for the use of their ground, vv Hargasport were dissolved. The remnants of the ground were demolished in 2018 to make way for housing.

Note 2: the photo series below is comprised of pictures taken on two different non-matchday visits: 1-9 = March 2011 / 10-16 = November 2017.

NETHERLANDS: SVV (B) (1957-1970, 1990-1991) / SVV (1970-1990, 1991-1997, 2011-2019) / SVVSMC (1997-2011)

Sportpark Harga Zuid, Schiedam (formerly SVV & SVVSMC)

Netherlands, province: South Holland

27 III 2011 / SVVSMC - ONA 0-0 / District West II, Sunday League 3B (= NL level 7)
9 VI 2013 / SVV - OHVV 1-3 / District West II, Sunday League 3 - promotion play-off (= NL level 7)

Note 1: SVV (Schiedamse Voetbalvereniging) were a professional league side between 1954 and 1991, playing its football at Sportpark Harga (Zuid) between 1970 and 1990 before moving to Rotterdam's Stadion De Kuip for one season. In 1991, the club disappeared into a merger with Dordrecht '90, with professional league football moving to Dordrecht's Stadion De Krommedijk. SVV's orphaned non-league branch was left behind at Harga. In 1997, SVV merged with SMC (SFC-Martinit Combinatie) to become SVVSMC - and under this name, between 2000 and 2005, the club played four seasons in Zondag Hoofdklasse, the highest non-league level at the time. In 2011, the old name SVV as well as its green-red club colours were reinstated. In late 2017 and early 2018, the grandstand - dating back to 1970 - and terraces were knocked down. SVV played at Sportpark Harga Midden until March 2019, when the move to the current Sportpark Nieuw Harga was made. SVV shares Nieuw Harga with ssv HBSS and C&FC Hermes-DVS, with each club disposing of its own main pitch.
