Simply photos of matchday and stadium visits, mainly in Belgium and the Netherlands, occasionally in Britain or farther afield. Additionally, some historical information about grounds and clubs is provided. Others call it 'groundhopping', whereas I prefer 'football tourism'... but things have run slightly out of control: therefore, this is Extreme Football Tourism.
Note: from 1983 onwards, the Veldwijk stadium (later named after the Netherlands' light athletics legend Fanny Blankers-Koen) has only been used for light athletics purposes. Note 2: the old stadium was demolished in 2005 and replaced by a new construction.
12 VI 2010 / Excelsior Maassluis - DTS '35 2-1 / Zaterdag Hoofdklasse-1e klasse, promotion-relegation play-off final (= third-fourth level / neutral venue) Note: vv Montfoort, founded in 1946, moved into Sportpark Hofland Zuid in 1973. In 2019, the club merged with their neighbours MSV '19 to form Montfoort SV '19; first team football is being played on vv Montfoort's former main pitch on the southern half of Sportpark Hofland.
