BELGIUM: K Ramsel FC

Schoolstraat, Ramsel (K Ramsel FC)

Belgium, province: Antwerp

24 VIII 2016 / Ramsel FC - Immer Voort FC 0-2 / Antwerp, Provincial League 4D (= BE Div. 9)

Note 1: prior to the match, we were given a short history lesson of KFC Ramsel by former club president Willy Van den Broeck, who proudly showed us part of his newspaper archive of sixty years of ups and downs of the club. Ramsel played in Belgium's National League 4 between 1973 and 1979, whilst it hosted FC Bruges in Belgium's cup in 1975, losing 1-3 in an encounter witnessed by 1,500 spectators.

Note 2: at this match visit, I was accompanied by a reporter of Voetbal International magazine, who wrote an extensive article (for the magazine) and a shorter website impression about this ludicrous hobby of mine.
