Timeline
- 1946 / Foundation of a football club in Mariënvelde, christened Voetbalvereniging (vv) Mariënveld. The club's first ground is Terrein Huuskesweide.
- 1947 / vv Mariënveld moves from its first pitch, Terrein Huuskesweide, to a new ground, confusingly referred to as Terrein Huuskesvelde.
- 1964 / Abandoning Terrein Huuskesvelde, vv Mariënveld moves into a ground near the village centre, at Waalderweg / Pastoor Deperinkweg, officially called Sportpark Mariënveld.
- 2004 / A regular in Gelderse Voetbalbond (GVB), the two-division league system below District East's Sunday League 4, until the reorganisation of the lowest level of the league pyramid in 1996, vv Mariënveld manages a promotion from Sunday League 6 for the first time, winning the play-offs and thus acceding to Sunday League 5 for the first time. The first taste of League 5 football lasts two years. In the following decade, the club alternates spells in Sunday Leagues 5 and 6.
- 2014 / Winning the promotion play-offs in Sunday League 5, vv Mariënveld is placed in Sunday League 4 for the first time in club history.
- 2015 / Finishing third in District East's Sunday League 4C, making 2014-15 the most successful season since the foundation of the club, vv Mariënveld qualifies for the promotion play-offs, but is eliminated by Sunday League 3 side VVO from Rozendaal (photos below taken at that encounter).
- 2017 / The decision is taken upon to merge the youth academies of vv Mariënveld and KSH from nearby Harreveld, resulting in the foundation of SJO HMC '17 (Samenwerking Jeugdopleiding Harreveld-Mariënveld Combinatie 2017). Initially, RKZVC from nearby Zieuwent, was part of the plans as well, but this club dropped out of deliberations at an early stage.
- 2018 / After four seasons in Sunday League 4, vv Mariënveld drops back to Sunday League 5.
- 2019 / Two years after combining the two clubs' youth academies, vv Mariënveld and KSH merge their adult teams as well. Stopping short of a fully-fledged merger, the two clubs conclude a cooperation agreement, resulting in first team football henceforth taking place under the name SSA (Samenwerking Seniorenafdeling) HMC '17. The team starts life in Sunday League 4, the level at which KSH maintained itself in the previous season. Home matches are alternately played at Mariënveld's ground at Pastoor Deperinkweg and Sportpark 't Hach in Harreveld.
- 2022 / SSA HMC '17's first team suffers relegation from Sunday League 4.
- 2023 (projected) / SSA-SJO HMC '17 will complete its merger, becoming vv HMC '17.
