Simply photos of matchday and stadium visits, mainly in Belgium and the Netherlands, occasionally in Britain or farther afield. Additionally, some historical information about grounds and clubs is provided. Others call it 'groundhopping', whereas I prefer 'football tourism'... but things have run slightly out of control: therefore, this is Extreme Football Tourism.
Duffelsesteenweg, Kontich (Kontich FC) Belgium, province: Antwerp 17 VIII 2014 / Kontich FC - SC Maccabi-Voetbal Antwerpen 3-0 / Antwerp, Provincial Cup R1
Note: K Kontich FC's ground was also used for home matches by K Beerschot VA's U21 squad - and, after this club entered a U23 squad in the national leagues in 2022, Terrein Duffelsesteenweg hosted Beerschot VA U23's home matches for one season. In 2023, Beerschot VA decided to move away its B team to K Schelle Sport's Terrein Kapelstraat.
Leemshoeve, Turnhout (KFC Turnhout, B-ground & K Turnhoutse SK Hand-In-Hand / formerly FC Turnhout) Belgium, province: Antwerp 16 VIII 2014 / FC Turnhout - FC Meer 8-0 / Antwerp, Provincial Cup R1
Note: FC Turnhout merged with KV Turnhout to form KFC Turnhout in mid-2015. First team football was initially played at the Leemshoeve ground, but after negotiations with the town council, a move back to KV Turnhout's Stadspark was allowed.
