Note 1: Voetbalvereniging 'Na Inspanning Volgt Ontspanning' Sparta (vv NIVO Sparta), founded in 1953, initially played at a ground situated close to Zaltbommel's train station prior to moving to Eurosportpark in 1957, where the club joined their city rivals vv Zaltbommel, who had moved to the same ground - with each club disposing of its own set of pitches - one year previously. In 2016, eight years after the demise of vv Zaltbommel, vv NIVO Sparta moved grounds for a second time, this time settling down at the newly built Sportpark De Watertoren, situated at the foot of - what else than - a water tower.
