NETHERLANDS: vv Sint-Joris (1965-2016) / SV Zeddam Sint-Joris (B) (2016-2019 )

Sportpark Gerrit Dieker, Braamt (formerly vv Sint-Joris / SV Zeddam Sint-Joris)

Netherlands, province: Guelders = Gelderland

29 X 2017 / SV Zeddam Sint-Joris - RKVV Sprinkhanen 0-3 / District East, Sunday League 4D (= NL level 9)

Note: Voetbalvereniging (vv) Sint-Joris, founded in 1933, moved to Sportpark Gerrit Dieker at the beginning of the 1965-66 season. In 2016, the club concluded a partnership deal with vv Zeddam, resulting in the foundation of SV (Samenwerkingsverband) Zeddam Sint-Joris, forming teams with players from both clubs and investigating the possibilities of a future merger. First team football was played alternately at Zeddam's Sportpark Padevoort and the ground in Braamt, changing location every two months. In 2019, finally, the merger was sealed with the foundation of vv Montferland. After plans for a completely new ground halfway between Braamt and Zeddam had come to naught, the decision was taken to move all football to Sportpark Padevoort. Since, Sportpark Gerrit Dieker has not seen football activity. Its clubhouse has remained in use as a social meeting place.

BELGIUM: R Fraiture FC

Rue de la Ferme, Fraiture-Sprimont (R Fraiture FC)

Belgium, province: Liège = Luik

26 X 2017 / Fraiture FC - JSN Alleur 4-1 / Liège, Provincial League 4B (= BE level 9)

Note: as the computer in Fraiture's canteen broke down, the obligatory digital team sheet could not be produced. As a result, the game started twenty minutes late - and the team sheets had to be filled out in the good old-fashioned way, i.e. completely by hand (cp. photo 3).

NETHERLANDS: vv Quick (A.) (1935-1945, 1947-1990) / AFC Quick 1890 (1990-)

Sportpark Dorrestein, Amersfoort (AFC Quick 1890, formerly vv Quick A.)

Netherlands, province: Utrecht

25 X 2017 / AFC Quick 1890 - SV Laren '99 1-2 / District West I, Regional Cup - R1

Note 1: Amersfoortsche Football Club (AFC), founded in 1890, concluded a merger with Quick in 1894, forming vv Quick (Amersfoort), officially renamed AFC Quick 1890 when the club celebrated its 100th birthday in 1990. vv Quick played its football at the ground used by AFC prior to the merger, Sportpark Nimmerdor, from 1890 to 1910, before moving to Sportpark Birkhoven (1910-35). In 1935, the club settled down at their current ground. Between 1945 and 1947, due to the near destruction of the ground by the German occupiers in World War II, vv Quick had to groundshare with Amersfoortse Boys at the latter's ground at Rubensstraat. When the football stadium at Sportpark Birkhoven, abandoned after the demise of Sportclub Amersfoort in 1982, was knocked down in 1985 to make way for a field hockey ground, a part of the uncovered seated stand was taken over by Quick and rebuilt at Sportpark Dorrestein (cp. photos 13, 15 & 17 below). By 2022, however, this stand, deemed unsafe for use, had been removed.

Note 2: Below, a compilation of images of two different visits: pictures 1-6 = non-matchday visit, March 2022 / pictures 7-17 = match visit, October 2017.
