Sportpleinen R.O.G., Doomkerke Blauwhuis (formerly VC Eendracht Sint-Pietersveld)
Belgium, province: West Flanders
March 2020 / no match visited
Note 1: the pitch shown in the pictures below was home to VC Eendracht Sint-Pietersveld, a recreational football team of pupils of the so-called Ecole the Bienfaisance Ruysselede, later renamed Rijksopvoedingsgesticht (R.O.G.) Ruiselede, a former boarding school for troubled youths, founded in the mid-19th century on a vast estate not far from the village of Doomkerke, half way between Ruiselede and Wingene. While the main building of the estate is nowadays used by a state-run youth delinquency centre, the sports facilities seem to have fallen into disrepair - which include the football pitch. Apparently, there once was a club called VC Eendracht Sint-Pietersveld, who were not affiliated to the Belgian Football Association, but competed in local recreational football leagues. Any information regarding the age of the wooden stand and the years of existence of the club have so far eluded me; additional information is more than welcome - feel free to leave a message or contact me.
Note 2: the first two photos below are obviously not my work, but postcards showing the entrance of the ground as well as a match photo (both undated).
