Belgium, province: Flemish Brabant
November 2010 & March 2022 / no match visited
Note 1: In 1960 in Sint-Katherina-Lombeek, SC Lombeek (matricule 6431) saw the daylight. In 1999, the club concluded a merger with KFC Liedekerke, forming SK Lombeek-Liedekerke. First team football was played at Liedekerke's ground, Heuvelkouter. In 2005, however, Lombeek withdrew from the merger and continued independently as SK Lombeek, entailing a return of first team football at the ground at Heidestraat, which had hardly been used in the preceding years. SK Lombeek held out independently for one season only, upon which a new merger was concluded, this time with K Sporting Ternat, forming KSKL Ternat (Koninklijke Sporting Klub Lombeek-Ternat). First team football was henceforth played in Ternat, initially at Complex Kruikenburg and, from 2010 onwards, at a new ground situated at Van Cauwelaertstraat. The ground in Sint-Katherina-Lombeek remained in use for lower team football and training purposes until 2019. In that year, KSKL Ternat merged with KFC Wambeek, forming KFC Wambeek-Ternat. As the grounds in Wambeek and Ternat both remained in use following the merger, the premises in Sint-Katherina-Lombeek became superfluous. By that time, the covered stand which can be seen in the pictures below from 2010 had long been removed to make way for additional tracks for the railway line Brussels-Denderleeuw running right behind the ground's main pitch. Finally, the clubhouse was knocked down to make way for a padel club, which settled down at Heidestraat in the summer of 2020; the former main pitch of the ground is now occupied by several padel 'cages', while the covered stand at the side of the ground along the railway track has been replaced by a bicycle path.
