17 XI 2012 / CVV Oranje Nassau Almelo - vv Dieren 2-2 / Saturday League 2H (= NL level 6)
Note 1: The successor of an earlier Oranje Nassau in Almelo, founded in 1899 and ceasing activities 25 years later, CVV Oranje Nassau saw the daylight in 1932; the club is referred to as CVV Oranje Nassau Almelo to distinguish it from its (near-)namesake CVV Oranje Nassau 1918 from Groningen. Although no definite information could be obtained as yet, the club probably settled down at Sportpark Ossenkoppelerhoek at some point in the 1980s. Sadly, the covered stand, which dated back to that era as well, was knocked down in 2014 when Heracles Almelo's adjacent Stadion Ossenkoppelerhoek was extended with a second tier. Even though, technically, it would not have been an issue to retain Oranje Nassau's stand, Heracles and Almelo's town council insisted on the construction being done away with, probably because its removal facilitated larger building machines to be moved around more easily during the construction works at the stadium.
