BELGIUM: RRC Longlier

Rue des Hès, Longlier (RRC Longlier)

Belgium, province: Luxembourg

21 IX 2013 / RRC Longlier - R Wallonia Walhain Chaumont-Gistoux 0-4 / National League 4D (= BE level 4)

Note 1: A first Racing Club (RC) Longlier saw the daylight in 1931 (matricule 1767), but folded after eight yeras of existence. A new, second RC Longlier was founded two years after, in 1941, obtaining matricule 3189 upon affiliation to the Belgian Football Association. The club's first ground was situated at the back of Café Louis, Route de Bastogne. As yet, I have not managed to find out in which year the club settled down at their current ground at Rue des Hès. The royal epithet was acquired in 1992, with RC Longlier thus becoming Royal Racing Club (RRC) Longlier. After a relatively anonymous existence in their first sixty-odd years of existence, RRC Longlier's achievements at the start of the new century started improving. In the 2010s, the club experienced five seasons of national league football (2013-14, 2015-16, 2016-19).

Note 2: Below, a compilation of photos of two different visits: pictures 1-5 = non-matchday visit, July 2022 / pictures 6-16 = match visit, September 2013.
