Sportpark De Donken, 's-Hertogenbosch = Den Bosch (vv DBN '22, formerly vv TGG)

Netherlands, province: North Brabant

3 IX 2022 / vv DBN '22 - RVV Rhelico 1-2 / District South I, Regional Cup - group stage, group II-20

Timeline
  • 1948 / At the instigation of Fr. Van Meulekom, a local priest, RKVV TGG (Rooms-Katholieke Voetbalvereniging The Goal Getters) is founded. The club's first ground is situated at Vlijmenseweg, very close to Den Bosch's city centre. In the following years, the club has to move grounds on several occasions, first to Van Herpensweide, then on to Oosterplas (a site occupied by HC 's-Hertogenbosch nowadays), and Pettelaar (with a B ground at Sint-Janslyceum). Unfortunately, no exact years have been preserved for the spells at each ground (in case you can help out on this matter, please contact me!).
  • ±1960 / At some point in the 1950s or 1960s, RKVV TGG made the move to Sportpark De Vliert, which it shared with BVV - and later also with FC Den Bosch/BVV, FC Den Bosch '67, BVV Den Bosch, and FC Den Bosch. Sportpark De Vliert itself was inaugurated in 1951, but it is improbable that TGG already moved into the western end of the park at that date. TGG's part of the park was later redeveloped as a parking lot, nowadays referred to as Transferium De Vliert (in case you have more detailed information regarding the year in which TGG moved to De Vliert, please contact me!).
  • 1973 / At TGG's 25th anniversary, a clubhouse is inaugurated at Sportpark De Vliert West. Until that time, the club had had to make do with makeshift constructions serving as canteen and changing rooms.
  • 2000 / vv TGG - at some point, the reference to its Roman-Catholic origins must have been dropped -  moved into its newly built Sportpark De Donken on the northern outskirts of Den Bosch. Having moved out of Sportpark De Vliert West in 1998 or 1999, the club was temporarily home at Sportpark De Meerendonk, groundsharing with SV BLC. At the newly built Sportpark De Donken, vv TGG has three pitches at its disposal. The clubhouse was designed by architect Ir. H.M.G. Verstappen (in case you have more information regarding the name change RKVV / vv TGG and the duration of its spell at Sportpark De Meerendonk, please contact me!).
  • 2017 / Winning the title in Sunday League 3C, the eighth tier of the Netherlands' football pyramid, vv TGG accedes to Sunday League 2 for the first time in its history. The spell at that level lasts no longer than one season.
  • 2022 / vv TGG concludes a merger with SV OSC '45, forming vv DBN '22 (Voetbalvereniging Den Bosch Noord 2022). Sportpark De Donken, due to be redeveloped for housing, temporarily houses the new merger club in the first months of its existence, while OSC's Sportpark Noord - previously known as Sportpark De Hambaken - is undergoing renovation.
  • 2023 / vv DBN '22 moves from Sportpark De Donken to a completely refurbished Sportpark Noord in May 2023, with the last home matches at De Donken being played on May 6th, 2023.
