Timeline
- 1948 / Foundation of a football club in Elp, named Eendracht, on September 21st, 1948. The club was named after a windmill, named ‘Eendracht Maakt Macht’, previously located on the site of the ground, Terrein Zwiggelterweg. The ground never disposed of a clubhouse or even dressing rooms, with players being constrained to change clothes in a nearby pub, CafĂ© Ten Berge.
- 1949 / At the behest of the Netherlands’ Football Association (KNVB), which does not allow member clubs to bear a name already taken by another club, Eendracht changes its name to become Elper Boys.
- 1959 / Winning the title in Afdeling Drenthe (DVB) Division 1, Elper Boys accedes to KNVB Sunday League 4 for the first – and only – time. In its debut match in District North’s Sunday League 4F, the club manages a 3-3 draw with vv EMMS.
- 1960 / In the club’s first season in Sunday League 4F, Elper Boys holds its own by finishing in 8th place.
- 1961 / After 2 seasons in Sunday League 4F, Elper Boys descends back into Afdeling Drenthe Division 1 due to a 10th (and last) place in the final table.
- 1968 / Elper Boys folds, ceasing all activities. Most of its membership switches to vv VKW in Westerbork.
