Timeline
- 1972 / Foundation of a football club in Flémalle-Grande, which is given the name Alliance Football Club Flémalle. Upon joining Belgium’s Football Association, the club acquires registration number 7762. Most probably, this club played at Terrain Profondval from the outset.
- 1993 / After an existence of 21 years, in which it never reached the national divisions, Alliance FC Flémalle concludes a merger with R Entente Engissoise, resulting in the foundation of R Alliance Engis-Flémalle, with Engis’ registration number 525 being retained. First team football moved to Terrain Profondval, while Engis’ Stade des Fagnes was retained for lower team football and training sessions.
- 1999 / Following a conflict with Flémalle’s municipal authorities, the board of R Alliance Engis-Flémalle withdraws from Terrain Profondval in Flémalle-Grande. Initially a new merger is planned, this time with Hermalle SC (registration number 9260), but this scheme falls through when it transpires that Hermalle finds itself heavily indebted. In the end, R Alliance Engis-Flémalle takes on the name Royal Sport Club (RSC) Entité Engis, moving back to Stade des Fagnes in Engis proper.
- 2015 / It seems that, after R Alliance Engis-Flémalle disbanded in 1999, Terrain Profondval continued to be used by all kinds of recreational teams, the last of which seems to have been ALFA club CB Flémalle, which abandoned the premises following the 2014-15 season.
