Stade au Cents, Luxembourg = Luxemburg Cents (FC Luxembourg City, formerly FC Mansfeldia Clausen / FC Mansfeldia Clausen-Cents / RM 86 Luxembourg / FC RM Hamm / RM Hamm Benfica / FC RM Hamm Benfica)

Luxembourg, canton: Luxembourg

7 V 2022 / FC RM Hamm Benfica - FC Wiltz 71 0-6 / Nationaldivisioun (= LUX level 1)

Note 1: FC Mansfeldia Clausen saw the daylight in 1919 (eight years after the demise of its predecessor FC Mansfeldia-Cents, 1909-11) and underwent two short-lived name changes; during World War II, German occupation authorities demanded of all Luxembourg clubs to 'germanify' their names - and thus, FC Mansfeldia Clausen became FK Mansfeldia Klausen (1940-44). Between 1978 and 1983, the club name was extended to FC Mansfeldia Clausen-Cents - thus stressing the fact that, since 1973, home matches were played at a newly built ground in the Cents neighbourhood in the Grand-Duchy's capital. In 1986, FC Mansfeldia Clausen concluded a merger with close neighbours FC Rapid Neudorf (home at Stade Henri Funck), forming Rapid Mansfeldia (RM) 86 Luxembourg. Eighteen years on, a new merger took place, this time between RM 86 Luxembourg and FC Hamm 37, resulting in the foundation of FC Rapid Mansfeldia (RM) Hamm - Hamm's Stade Hans Sowa has remained in use for lower team football and training purposes ever since. In 2006, as part of the city's Portuguese community took over the club, the name was changed to RM Hamm Benfica. Finally, in 2020, when FC Blue Boys Muhlenbach-Sandžak was absorbed, the name was slightly adapted once more - the result being FC RM Hamm Benfica. While first team football  continued to be played Cents, Hamm's Stade Hans Sowa and Muhlenbach's Stade Mathias Mamer have remained in use for lower team football and training purposes. In the summer of 2022, a new name change followed due to a conflict with the original SL Benfica from Portugal over the use of their name; as a result, FC RM Hamm Benfica became FC Luxembourg City. In 2023, Cessange FC was absorbed into the club.
