• 1986 / An athletics stadium is built in the shadow of FC Metz's Stade Saint-Symphorien. The new ground, which is given the name Stade Dezavelle, disposes of a six-track gravel runway, a football pitch, as well as a covered stand. The ground is taken in use by FC Metz's youth academy.
• 2017 / The pitch of the Stade Dezavelle is recreated as a 3G.
• 2024 / An eight-track gravel runway is laid out at the Stade Dezavelle, with the new facilities being inaugurated by Metz's mayor, François Grosdidier.
