Stade Jacques Ndoumbe, Bleid (ES Bleid, formerly FC Bleid & FC Bleid-Gaume)
Belgium, province: Luxembourg
20 III 2010 / FC Bleid - URS du Centre 1-1 / National League 3B (= BE level 3)
Note 1: FC Bleid (matricule: 9026) was founded in 1986, but its first team groundshared with R Excelsior Virton in the Stade Yvan Georges for the first ten years of its existence. After the club won promotion to League 4 in 2004, FC Bleid (later renamed FC Bleid-Gaume in a vain attempt to attract supporters from the entire Belgian Lorraine region) remained a feature in Belgium's national leagues for eight years (2004-2009: League 4, 2009-2012: League 3). In 2012, sponsor Renato Costantini from the nearby Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg withdrew his all-important financial support from FC Bleid-Gaume, thereby sounding the death-knell for the club. The matricule was sold to a group of investors from Brussels who were keen to resurrect R.W.D.M. as a force in the national leagues. As the sale took place too late to officially change names for the next season, the new Bruxellois club had to market itself as FC Bleid-Molenbeek. Finally, in 2013, after a disastrous campaign in League 3, the matricule fell into the hands of Belgian international player and would-be benefactor Vincent Kompany, inspired by whom FC Bleid-Molenbeek was turned into BX Brussels. Meanwhile, in Bleid itself, a new club was founded, ES Bleid (matricule: 9626), which started in Belgian Luxembourg's Provincial League 3.
