BELGIUM: FC Karel Mintjens (?-±2020) / De Sjarels (±2021-) / FC Beuckie (2021-)

Heidemolenbaan 'Mintjens Arena', Westmalle (De Sjarels / FC Beuckie, formerly FC Karel Mintjens)

Belgium, province: Antwerp

4 XI 2017 / FC Karel Mintjens - FC ISC 5-3 / KVDV, Saturday League 1

Note 1: FC Karel Mintjens were originally founded as the amateur football team of the Mintjens furniture factory, named after long time owner (and former cyclist) Karel Mintjens (1933-1993). The ground has existed from the early 1990s at its latest, but may be much older. Nowadays, hardly any of the players have any association with the factory. The sports facilities in Westmalle comprise an indoor hall, a tennis club, and two football pitches. Since 2016, R Antwerp FC have rented the pitches for their new football academy. FC Karel Mintjens discontinued their activities in around 2020, upon which the premises were taken over by another amateur team called De Sjarels, while the ground is also used by FC Beuckie.

Note 2: KVDV (Kempisch Verbond Door Vriendenclubs or simply 'Bond van Rijkevorsel') is a league of Flemish amateur teams in the Turnhout region not affiliated to the Royal Belgian Football Association. Under the auspices of the KVDV, three Saturday championships and one Sunday championship are disputed.
