BELGIUM: RAS Monceau (1945-2017)

Stade Communal - Victor Corbier, Charleroi Monceau-sur-Sambre (formerly RAS Monceau)

Belgium, province: Hainaut = Henegouwen

January 2019 / no match visited

Note: due to a collapse of part of the pitch (which occurred while works were being carried out at the sewage system underneath the ground) in February 2017, RAS Monceau were constrained to play their first team football elsewhere: at their B ground, Stade Hameau (for the remainder of the 2016-2017 season), subsequently at the Stade Fiestaux in Couillet (summer 2017 until December 2018); the Stade Yernaux in Montignies-sur-Sambre (December 2018 until May 2019); and the Stade Adrien Mura in Châtelet (from the summer of 2019 onwards). Meanwhile, a long-running conflict between the club, the town council, and the province was going on about the costs for the necessary reconstruction works. Finally, in February 2020, news came through that the Charleroi town council had decided to knock down the Stade Corbier, crushing all of RAS Monceau's hopes of returning to their home soil.
