NETHERLANDS: SV DZC '68 (2017-) / BV De Graafschap (B) (2017-2018)

Sportpark Zuid II, Doetinchem (SV DZC '68 = Doetinchemse Zaterdagclub)

Netherlands, province: Guelders = Gelderland

19 I 2019 / SV DZC '68 - vv De Merino's 2-2 / Saturday League 1D (= NL level 6)

Note: SV DZC '68, founded in 1968, moved from their first ground, Sportpark Groot-Hagen, to Sportpark Zuid in 1973. For thirty-four years, first team football was played at the pitch closest to Liemersweg ('Sportpark Zuid I'), where I attended a match in November 2014; in 2017, the club's old canteen was knocked down to make way for a new main pitch adjacent to the old one - as well as a huge new clubhouse and main stand. In the 2017-18 season, BV De Graafschap - the B team of which formerly played at Sportpark Buitenham in Varsselder - groundshared at the refurbished Sportpark Zuid for their B team's fixtures. After that season, De Graafschap withdrew their U23 team from the national divisions and returned to the 'closed shop' U23 league, playing home fixtures at Sportpark De Bezelhorst Zuid.

  1. They did a great job by knocking the canteen and extending the ground from there. I personally support them with the clever decision.
