BELGIUM: KFC Heultje (1976-2014)

Ernest Sterckx-Sportcentrum, Heultje (formerly KFC Heultje)

Belgium, province: Antwerp

1 IX 2010 / KFC Heultje - KFC De Vrijheid Herselt 2-0 / Antwerp, Provincial League 4C (= BE level 8)

Note 1: FC Heultje, founded in 1920, became members of the Belgian Football Assocation in 1925 (matricule 459). In the course of their history, the club changed location several times. In 1976, Heultje left their premises at Pastorijstraat, moving into the newly built Ernest Sterckx-Sportcentrum, that was named after a local cyclist who died in 1975. From 1983-1995, KFC Heultje managed twelve consecutive seasons in the national leagues (eight seasons in Division 3, four seasons in Division 4). The club played at the Ernest Sterckx Stadium until 2014, when the premises were deemed beyond repair and the opportunity arose to take over the ground of KFC Zoerle Sport, which had ceased all activities in March 2014. The stadium in Heultje was knocked down not long after the club moved away.
