Café 'De Kroon', Brecht (KWB Oostmalle, formerly FC De Kroon / VK De Kroon / FC Echt Brecht / FC Beuckie / Svenska Sport, and many, many more recreational football sides over the years)

Note: though those involved in maintaining the pitch at Café De Kroon in Brecht could not tell me exactly how old the ground was, it must have been there from around 1979 onwards. For many years, it was home to recreational side FC De Kroon, later renamed VK De Kroon - and, locally, the ground is still referred to as 'Veld VK De Kroon', though this team ceased activities many years ago. Especially in the 1980s and 1990s, countless other local sides not affiliated to Belgium's Football Association played their football at Café De Kroon along with VK De Kroon. More recently, as popularity of recreational league football on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning has decreased, the pitch has seen much less action. After the demise of VK De Kroon, the ground was home to, amongst others, FC Echt Brecht (until 2015 or 2016), FC Beuckie (2012-2015) and Svenska Sport (2013-2019). The only current users, KWB Oostmalle, moved in in 2017.
