Stadion Neptunus, Ghent = Gent = GandWondelgem (SV Wondelgem & FC Avrasya Gent, formerly FC Olympia Gent / KFC Olympia Gent / SK Wondelgem)
Belgium, province: East Flanders
13 IX 2020 / SV Wondelgem - Lando Sport Merendree Reserves 3-4 / East Flanders, Sunday Reserves' League 3C
Note: FC (Football Club) Olympia Gent, founded in 1947, merged with FC (Fusieclub) Gent in 1999 to become KFC (Koninklijke Fusieclub) Olympia Gent, who changed their name back to the original Koninklijke Football Club Olympia Gent in 2008. The merger in 1999 coincided with the demise of FC Olympia Gent's groundsharers for thirty years, SK Wondelgem. Finally, in 2015, KFC Olympia Gent were evicted from their ground by Ghent's city council due to heavy debts due to the town, who own the ground - heralding the end of the club. Immediately, a successor club saw the daylight, SV Wondelgem, who, however, have not entered a first team in the regular provincial leagues yet. In fact, after starting with youth teams only, the 2020/2021 season is the first for which a senior team took part in the reserves' leagues on behalf of SV Wondelgem - and the match which I attended, was this team's first official game. Stadion Neptunus is also used by non-leaguers FC Avrasya Gent as well as KAA Gent's women's teams.
