BELGIUM: R Jupille FC (1940-1992) / R Union Liégeoise (1992-1996) / RFC Sérésien (B) (1996-2005) / FC Jupille (2005-)

Rue de Visé, Liège = Luik Jupille-sur-Meuse (FC Jupille, formerly R Jupille FC / R Union Liégeoise)

Belgium, province: Liège = Luik

15 VIII 2021 / RSC Tilffois - RCS Stavelotain 5-3 / Liège, Provincial Cup R2 (neutral venue)

Note 1: Jupille FC, founded in 1940 (matricule 2885), acquired the royal epithet in 1991. One year later, the club merged with RFC Bressoux, becoming R Union Liégeoise. This club, in its turn, left Jupille-sur-Meuse in 1996 to become RFC Sérésien, which involved a move to Seraing's Stade du Pairay. In the following nine years, Sérésien held onto the ground in Jupille to house part of the club's youth academy. Finally, in 2005, the situation changed, as RFC Sérésien abandoned the premises and a new club saw the daylight, FC Jupille (matricule 9469).

Note 2: the match I visited at this ground between Tilff and Stavelot took place in Jupille, as Tilff's ground had been ravaged by the severe floodings which hit parts of the area between Liège and Seraing in July 2021. RSC Tilffois are moving back to their own ground after maintenance works have been completed, probably in September 2021.

Note 3: this match between Tilff and Stavelot was a personal milestone, as Jupille's ground was 'my' 1000th ground in Belgium with a match visit.
