22 VIII 2012 / FC Bleid-Molenbeek - K Diegem Sport 0-2 / National League 3B (= BE level 3)
Note 1: The pictures below were taken in 2012; three years after, a 3G was installed on KVK Wemmel's main pitch. Following this, the club abandoned their now superfluous training ground, Gemeentelijk Complex 'De Zijp', better known as Sibelgasterrein.
Note 2: In 2012, after a group of investors around former Belgian international player Michel De Wolf purchased the matricule of FC Bleid-Gaume, a club from Belgian Luxembourg which played in National League Division 3 at the time, in an attempt to resurrect the mythical Brussels' club RWDM, they were hard-pressed to find a ground to host the club's home matches. Their first choice was the third pitch of Molenbeek's Stade Edmond Machtens, but they were refused by FC Brussels' club president, Johan Vermeersch - not that unexpectedly, given that 'his' FC Brussels constituted another attempt at reviving RWDM from its ashes; and that, as a result, Vermeersch considered the foundation of 'FC Bleid (Molenbeek)' as a hostile move. Hard pressed by circumstances, FC Bleid-Molenbeek's presidency found a temporary solution for their first home match - Wemmel's Marcel Van Langenhovestadion. The pictures below were taken at FC Bleid-Molenbeek's first-ever home match - and the only match they played in Wemmel (the only vivid memory I have of that evening is one of the most unusual pitch invasions imaginable, undertaken by a wild rabbit - cp. picture 12 below). After a short spell at another lower league ground, Rebecq-Rognon's Stade André Cheron, FC Bleid-Molenbeek moved to a ground in Brussels proper, Laeken's Annexe Heysel. After the 2012/2013 season, ending in FC Bleid (Molenbeek)'s relegation to National League Division 4, the club were taken over by Vincent Kompany and his family, who chose a new name: BX Brussels.
