Belgium, province: Namur = Namen
9 V 2010 / R Arquet FC - Standard Flawinne FC 3-0 / Namur, Provincial League 2A - promotion play-off (= BE level 6)
Note 1: Arquet FC saw the daylight in 1945 as a merger of Cercle Sportif (CS) Les Comognes Vedrin (1941-45, matricule 2952) and Entente Sportive (ES) Champion (1942-45, matricule 3076), who both gave up their own matricule, as Arquet - named after a stream dividing the hamlets of Comognes and Champion - received matricule 4210. After playing their football at various grounds, the club settled down at the ground situated at Fond de Bouge in Comognes, now little more than the eastern half of the village of Vedrin, towards the end of the 1960s - before being turned into a football ground, the premises were part of the Ponty Farm, owned by the Lambert family. Arquet FC obtained the royal epithet in 1995. On the occasion of the club's 80th anniversary in 2025, the club adopted a new logo with the slightly adapted name Royal Arquet Namur Football Club, or, abbreviated, R Arquet Namur FC - which will officially become the club name from mid-2026 onwards.
Note 2: Below, a compilation of photos of three different visits: pictures 1 & 3-20 = match visit, May 2010 / pictures 2 & 21-22 = non-matchday visit, March 2011 (during renovation works involving building a support wall between the pitch and the hillside leading up to the clubhouse) / pictures 23-26 = non-matchday visit, April 2022.
