1 IX 2012 / vv Rijssen Vooruit - RKSV 0-12 / District East, Saturday League 4D (= NL level 8)
Note 1: Voetbalvereniging 'Rijssen Vooruit' (often referred to by locals simply as RV or 'Errevee') saw the daylight in 1909 and played at Sportterrein Stokmansveldweg from that same year onwards. In 1928, a wooden stand was erected, known as the 'Engelse tribune' or 'English stand' because its design was copied from an English original. In 2019, Rijssen Vooruit concluded a merger with town rivals RKSV - incidentally also the club who so emphatically beat RV in the match I attended at Stokmansveldweg -, resulting in the foundation of SV Rijssen. Following the merger, first team football was alternately played at RKSV's Sportpark De Koele and RV's ground for the two following seasons. Ultimately, RV's ground had to make way for housing (cp. last photo in the series below), while all football moved to the newly built Sportpark 't Opbroek - to the north of RKSV's old ground - in the summer of 2021. Fortunately, RV's wooden stand was preserved as it was taken apart piece by piece and stored for the time being - and rebuilt at Sportpark 't Opbroek in the spring of 2022.
Note 2: Below, a compilation of photos of three different visits: pictures 1 & 3-7 = non-matchday visit October 2011 / pictures 2 & 8-20 = match visit, September 2012 / picture 21 = non-matchday visit, April 2022.
