East Germany (former GDR / DDR), state: Thuringia = Thüringen
25 X 2026 / BSG Kali Werra Tiefenort U19 - SG Fortuna Remstädt U19 0-3 / A-Junioren Kreisoberliga Thüringen
Timeline
- 1930 / In Frauensee, a village in the western reaches of Thuringia, a football club is formed which bears the name Rot-Sport Frauensee. Most probably, the club played its football in the heart of the village, at Platz der Freundschaft, from the foundation onwards. It is unclear if the club joined the Arbeiter-Turn- und Sportbund (ATSB) or the regular German Football Association (DFB). In the former case, the club must have changed its name following the Nazi Machtübernahme in 1933, which saw the socialist ATSB being banned altogether.
- ± 1946 / Refoundation of the football club in Frauensee, most probably already as Betriebssportgemeinschaft (BSG) Stahl Frauensee from the outset – though no clarity exists on the matter if the club bore different names in the early stages of the SED regime in East Germany.
- 1980 / Winning the title in the 1. Kreisklasse District Suhl, BSG Stahl Frauensee wins promotion to Bezirksklasse, the fourth tier of the East German football pyramid.
- 1981 / In what may have been the best achievement in club history, BSG Stahl Frauensee finishes as runner-up in Bezirksklasse Suhl Group 2, 4 points behind champions TSG Suhl-Mäbendorf.
- 1987 / Finishing bottom of the table in Bezirksklasse Suhl Group 3, BSG Stahl Frauensee drops back into the 1. Kreisklasse, alongside the club in second-last place, BSG Ulstertal Geisa.
- 1990 / Following the fall of the SED regime in East Germany, one year prior to the German unification, BSG Stahl Frauensee severs its ties to the communist past, taking on the new name Sportvereinigung (SV) 1930 Frauensee. No information is available regarding the club’s performances in the course of the 1990s.
- 2003 / Runaway champions in 2. Kreisklasse District Bad Salzungen, 10 points ahead of closest followers SV 03 Dorndorf II, SV 1930 Frauensee wins promotion to 1. Kreisklasse, the ninth tier of the German football pyramid (and tenth tier from 2008 onwards). Also in 2003, the ground is broken for a new sports complex in Frauensee, the Sportanlage an der Sandspitze, situated to the south of the village.
- 2005 / Inauguration of the Sportanlage an der Sandspitze, with the old pitch, situated at Platz der Freundschaft in the village centre, being abandoned. Traces of the old pitch can still be recognised today.
- 2006 / Finishing in second-last place in 1. Kreisklasse District Bad Salzungen, SV 1930 Frauensee drops back into 2. Kreisklasse after three years, along with bottom team SV 03 Dorndorf II.
- 2007 / SV 1930 Frauensee finishes in third place in 2. Kreisklasse District Bad Salzungen, only 1 point short of runner-up FSV Leimbach II and direct promotion.
- 2008 / Runner-up in 2. Kreisklasse District Bad Salzungen, 5 points behind champions SV Grün-Weiss Oechsen, SV 1930 Frauensee accedes to 1. Kreisklasse.
- 2009 / In its last season of competing as an independent club, SV 1930 Frauensee manages a ninth place in 1. Kreisklasse District Bad Salzungen. Following the 2008-09 season, a joint sporting arrangement is formed between SV 1930 Frauensee and FSV Kali Werra Tiefenort, resulting in all teams of the two clubs being merged and competing under the name Spielgemeinschaft (SG) Tiefenort-Frauensee. First team football moves to the Waldstadion Kaffeetälchen in Tiefenort, with the Sportanlage an der Sandspitze in Frauensee remaining in use for lower team football and training sessions.
- 2015 / The joint sporting arrangement (Spielgemeinschaft, SG) between SV 1930 Frauensee and FSV Kali Werra Tiefenort is officially renamed Spielgemeinschaft (SG) Fussballsportverein (FSV) Kali Werra Tiefenort.
- 2024 / SV Blau-Weiss 09 Kieselbach joins the joint sporting arrangement with FSV Kali Werra Tiefenort and SV 1930 Frauensee, with the three clubs continuing under the label Spielgemeinschaft (SG) Breitensportgemeinschaft (BSG) Kali Werra Tiefenort.
