Scheldestraat, Otegem (Koninklijke Vereniging Blauwvoet Otegem)
Belgium, province: West Flanders
12 X 2019 / KV Blauwvoet Otegem - KSK Beveren-Leie 1-0 / West Flanders, Provincial League 2B (= BE level 7)
Note: asked about the origin of his club's idiosyncratic name, one of KV Blauwvoet's officials was keen to point out that the club, founded in 1944, were named after "De Blauwvoet", the anthem of Flanders' Catholic Students Movement with Flemish nationalistic lyrics by 19th century Romantic poet Albrecht Rodenbach; this politically charged name was chosen at the instigation of a local school teacher. After playing at two different pitches close to Otegem's town centre, Blauwvoet Otegem moved to their current ground in 1954. The covered stand dates back to ± 2016, whilst the installation of a 3G pitch was undertaken in the summer months of 2019.
