Belgium, province: East Flanders = Oost-Vlaanderen
29 IV 2012 / KFC Eeklo - KVE Drongen 1-6 / East Flanders, Provincial League 2A (= BE level 6)
Note: FC Eeklo - formed as a merger of two teams not affiliated to the Belgian Football Association, Ledeganckvrienden and Daring Eecloo - were called Ledeganckzonen Eecloo at the time of the club's foundation in November 1920, later changed their name to FC Eecloo (year unknown) and yet later again to FC Eeklo (year unknown). In 1951, the club acquired the royal epithet, becoming KFC Eeklo. In 2012, following severe financial difficulties, the club made a new start under a new name, FC Eeklo Meetjesland, usually abbreviated to simply FCE Meetjesland, yet retaining their matricule 231. In 2024, the club reverted to the old name KFC Eeklo.
