Timeline
  • 1958 / Foundation of Cercle Sportif (CS) Jemappes. Upon joining Belgium's Football Association, the club receives matricule 6131. 
  • 1966 / Its first tangible success since its foundation, CS Jemappes gains promotion to Provincial League 2. The following three decades, the club alternates spells in Provincial Leagues 2 and 3.
  • 1996 / CS Jemappes is relegated to Provincial League 4 - the bottom division of Hainaut's provincial leagues - for the first time in its history, but manages a return to P3 the following year.
  • 1998 / As town rivals R Union Jemappes-Flénu (formerly R Union Jemappienne) are absorbed by RAEC Mons, CS Jemappes is the only remaining club in Jemappes.
  • 2011 / Having played the last five seasons of its existence in Provincial League 4, CS Jemappes folds, ceasing all activities.
  • 2012 / Refoundation of CS Jemappes under a new name, Union Sporting Club (USC) Jemappes - thus incorporating a reference to CS's old rivals, R Union Jemappienne. Applying for membership of the Belgian FA, the club obtains matricule 9592.
  • 2015 / Winning the title in Provincial League 4D, USC Jemappes accedes to Provincial League 3.
  • 2019 / USC Jemappes wins promotion to Provincial League 2, the highest level attained by predecessor club CS Jemappes.
  • 2023 / Having an excellent season in Provincial League 2B, USC Jemappes finishes in 3rd place behind champions US Neufvilloise and runners-up RSC Naastois. In the subsequent round of play-offs, the club defeats FC Enghiennois (3-1) and AS Obigies (1-2) to qualify for the final with two other clubs; R Jumet SC and RSC Naastois. Defeating Jumet (0-1) and being defeated by Naast (0-3), USC Jemappes finishes 2nd behind Naast - enough to secure a historic promotion to Provincial League 1.
  • 2024 / Renovation works get underway at the Stade des Préelles, involving the laying out of a new main pitch in another part of the same sports park.
