Plaine des Sports 'Les Tilleuls', Richelle (FC United Richelle)
Belgium, province: Liège = Luik
29 VII 2012 (B pitch) / FC United Richelle - R Racing FC Montegnée 1-1 / Liège, Provincial Cup R1
11 IV 2019 / FC United Richelle B - R Herve FC 2-1 / Liège, Provincial League 2B (= BE level 7)
Note 1: the Tilleuls football ground in Richelle has existed since 1968. Until 2006, the main users of the pitches were recreational teams and (between 1982 and 2002) lower teams of RCS Visétois. Finally, in 2006, FC United Richelle (alternately referred to as FC Richelle United) saw the daylight; the club started at the lowest provincial level, but rose through the leagues rapidly until, in 2015, promotion to National League 4 was gained. As the main pitch in Richelle does not have the correct measurements for national league football, FC United Richelle's first team have since played at the Stade de la Cité de l'Oie in neighbouring Visé. The ground in Richelle, where the old covered stand was replaced by a slightly larger new version in approx. 2015, has remained in use for training purposes and lower team football.
Note 2: below, a compilation of photographs of two different visits: pictures 1-2 & 5-20 = matchday visit, April 2019 / pictures 3-4 = matchday visit (B pitch), July 2012. Pictures 3-4 show the old cover which was replaced by a covered stand in between my two visits. I have chosen not to include any images of the 2012 match which took place on the ground's side pitch.
