Timeline
- 1942 / Foundation of a football club in Schaltin, which takes on the name Cercle Sportif (CS) Schaltin, joining the Belgian Football Association with registration number 3540. It is unclear if the club played its football on the pitch at Rue des Prés in Frisée, later renamed Stade Yves Delrée (although the plaque on the former clubhouse reads H. Delrée), from the outset. The club took part in Namur's provincial divisions from its foundation onwards, but the first 65 years of club history have been poorly documented.
- 1992 / Upon the club's fiftieth anniversary, CS Schaltin obtains the royal epithet, thus officially becoming Royal Cercle Sportif (RCS) Schaltin.
- ± 2000 / At some point, RCS Schaltin must have inaugurated its new main pitch, situated at the back of the original Stade Yves Delrée, probably around the turn of the century. Since, the old main pitch has remained in use for lower team football and training sessions.
- 2008 / Finishing in fifth place in Namur's Provincial League 1, RCS Schaltin qualifies for the play-offs, but the club does not manage to reach the Interprovincial play-offs for promotion to National Division 4.
- 2009 / Finishing in thirteenth place in Namur's Provincial League 1, RCS Schaltin suffers relegation to Provincial League 2 along with JS Eghezée, JS Morialmé, Standard Flawinne FC, and bottom club RUS Molignée Stave Sport.
- 2011 / Finishing as runners-up in Namur's Provincial League 2B, 3 points behind champions Chêvetogne Football, RCS Schaltin qualifies for the promotion play-offs, in which the club reaches the final following successive wins over US Mettet-Molignée (4-3) and US Pesche (1-0). Subsequently, the club goes on to cruise past FC Malonne 2000 in the final round (7-3 aggr.), as a result of which the club manages a return to Provincial League 1 after two seasons.
- 2013 / Finishing in third-last place in Namur's Provincial League 1, RCS Schaltin descends into Provincial League 2 after two seasons, along with JS Eghezée, RES Philippeville, and bottom club RFC Bioul 81.
- 2015 / Runners-up in Namur's Provincial League 2B, 14 points behind runaway champions RCS Profondeville, RCS Schaltin qualifies for the promotion play-offs, in which the club knocks out RFC Bioul 81 in R1 (2-2 & penalty shoot-out), only to suffer elimination in the following round at the hands of Flavion Sport (3-1).
- 2017 / Finishing in fifth place in Namur's Provincial League 2B, RCS Schaltin qualifies for the promotion play-offs, in which the club is knocked out in R1 by US Beauraing 61 (2-0).
- 2019 / Finishing in fourth place in Namur's Provincial League 2B, RCS Schaltin qualifies for the promotion play-offs, in which a return to Provincial League 1 is not achieved.
- 2025 / Finishing in second-last place in Namur's Provincial League 2B, RCS Schaltin is retrograded to Provincial League 3. However, marred by financial problems, the club chooses to make a restart in Provincial League 4, the bottom division of Namur's provincial league pyramid.
