Note 1: The hamlet of Risquons-Tout, right on the Belgian-French border to the south - and right on the language border with West Flanders to the north and west - was named after a local inn (Risquons-Tout, translated literally in English, means 'Let's Risk It All'). In 1848, the Battle of Risquons-Tout took place between Belgium's armed forces and a motley Belgian-French troop of republicans in vain attempting to cross the border to spread the revolution which cost French King Louis Philippe his throne. Part of Flanders until a redrawing of the language border in 1963, Risquons-Tout, meanwhile absorbed by the town of Mouscron, has been a part of the Walloon province of Hainaut since. The football club AS Risquons-Tout saw the daylight in 1946, acquiring the royal epithet in 1996, thus becoming RAS Risquons-Tout. The club, who have played at the Stade des Camps from 1972 onwards, played in the West Flemish league system for decades until making the leap to Hainaut's provincial leagues in the 1980s.
